Featherfist Renaissance
Renaissance comes to South Chicago. In this vibrant southside community, we are developing 99 studio apartments for Featherfist , a well-known Chicago non-profit serving men, women and children who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Scheduled to begin construction in Spring 2008, this project gives a nod to Prairie-style architecture, with a graceful tower corner and well-crafted street elevations. Designed by Worn Jerabek Architects, PC , the building will be an elegant addition to the community.

Featherfist Renaissance will have attractive, functional studio apartments, complete with fully-applianced kitchens and private baths, along with fabulous building amenities. Residents will enjoy a great room with TV and fireplace, a well-stocked library with an internet-ready PC and a huge Activity Room space, designed for classes, group activities, exercising, etc. The property will have parking located behind the building, as well as wonderful outdoor space on the west side, with a garden terrace and lovely landscaping.
Renaissance will provide property management services, including an onsite management staff. Featherfist will provide supportive programming for all residents with their staff onsite working hand-in-hand with management to promote self-sufficiency. Featherfist specializes in supportive and permanent housing, employment and training, veterans affairs and case management. |
