Rose Hershberger has lived in other apartments, but nothing compared with her new home at The Taylor Renaissance senior living apartments at 901 W. 15th St., Davenport.
Chicago developer RRG Development Inc. will host an open house at 11 a.m. today to show off the results of a year of renovation work at the former Taylor School, which closed in 1978.
“The thing I like the most is I never had a full-size kitchen,” Hershberger, one of five residents of the complex, said Wednesday.“Every apartment has a fireplace and all the materials are high quality. I am very happy. I hate moving so I am hoping I can stay here a long time.”
